The
links that come up in the search are 8-10 years old and appear in what
looks like an old Newsletter article. I'll see if I can work with IT to
remove them from the results of the search.
The
current definition for what constitutes online, hybrid and face-to-face
courses at AU can be found in the AU Distance Learning Policy (I put
the link to it in our committee Moodle course)... There are really no
other policies with different info at this point that I know of (though
there may be misinformation by word of mouth).
Nationally and internationally, the definition can change a bit. There is no definitive set of percentages that all educational institutions adhere to, though there are trends and policies.

Sloan-C and Quality Matters can provide more info as can the Provost's
office as they deal with State regulations, etc. (in case you want to
investigate this and bring to the committee for discussion)....At AU
though, we do have one definition that we officially use and that has
been codified in the Distance Learning Policy, and no others.
